Daniel Reneau's Lobby Art (SF)

A few weeks ago, in March, I visited a corporate tower in San Francisco's Financial District to see Daniel Reneau's show in one of the lobbies. To some extent, his sculptures managed to disrupt the mausoleum atmosphere of the place, but it was a bit like a birthday party in a Hall of Remembrance. The work had been installed for awhile, so the regulars were coming and going without paying attention to any of it. I took a few (not very good) photos—see above and below.
